Easy-to-use and works as designed
I was apprehensive the adhesive supplied with the helmet mount wouldn't be able to handle the abuse of cave exploration, but man this mount is SOLID.
This is perfect for a wildland fire helmet and allows for quick removal to charge
This part requires that I render the normal headlight mount useless. Upon asking if a normal headlight mount was available for purchase, Fenix said that part doesn't exist, even though I've seen it available for purchase in Europe.

Different countries across the globe can have products that differ from what is available in the US, so it's very possible that distributors in Europe have accessories that are not available here, just as we, as a distributor, have a few lights that are only available for purchase through us. I use this mount to attach my Fenix headlamp to my Smith ski helmet. I use the headlamp for night skiing and skiing in poor visibility. The first mount I bought cracked, but they are cheap enough that I bought replacements. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because the first cracked quickly.
I have either gone without a helmet or wore my headlamp under my helmet. I saw fine with out the helmet but always felt unsafe. Wearing the headlamp under the helmet was never satisfactory. This was a simple and effective solution. Priced fairly. 5 stars.
