Intelligent Brightness Downshifting Sensor

On/off

With the light switched off, switch the mechanical rotary switch in the order of Off→Eco→Off 3 times within 3 seconds. The OLED display will show "ON", and the light will blink twice in Eco mode, indicating that the sensor function is enabled.

With the light switched off, switch the mechanical rotary switch in the order of Off→Eco→Off 3 times within 3 seconds. The OLED display will show “OFF”, and the light will blink eight times in Eco mode, indicating that the sensor function is disabled.

Intelligent downshift

When the light head is close to an illuminated object (about 2.36''/60 mm) for more than 1 second, the flashlight will automatically downshift the brightness level to Eco output to avoid potential danger/burns danger caused by high temperature. When the light head is away from the illuminated object for more than 1.2 seconds, the flashlight automatically recalls the previously used output level.

Charging

  1. With the light switched off, open the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C socket of the charging cable into the light, then connect the USB-A end of the charging cable to a charging adapter and plug it into an electric outlet.

  2. When charging, the OLED display will automatically light up to show the battery level and charging status. The normal charging time is approximately 1.5 hours from depletion to fully charged with a 45 W or higher-power charging adapter.

  3. Be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover once charging is completed.

  4. Do not charge the flashlight if there is no battery pack inserted.

Power Bank Function

  1. With the light switched off, open the anti-dust cover and plug the USB-A or USB-C socket of the charging cable into the flashlight, then connect the other socket of the charging cable to the digital device.

  2. When discharging, the OLED display will automatically light up to show the battery level and discharging status.

  3. Be sure to unplug the cable and close the anti-dust cover once discharging is completed.

Note:

  1. Only Eco mode can be operated when charging.
  2. All modes can be operated when discharging and the flashlight will downshift to a lower brightness level based on the actual battery level. If the battery level is too low, the light will automatically stop discharging.

OLED Smart Display

Turn on the flashlight, the OLED display will automatically light up and show the brightness level, remaining runtime, and remaining battery level. The OLED display will stay on constantly regardless of light output. The displayed brightness level is the preset brightness level. The actual brightness level will reduce due to the intelligent heat protection.

Note:

If the battery level is lower than 10%, the battery icon in the lower-left corner of the display will flash to remind you to replace or recharge the battery pack.

If the battery level is lower than 5%, the low-battery image will appear and flash to indicate the flashlight is extremely low on power. The flashlight will automatically downshift the brightness level to Eco output. The SOS output will flash at the Eco output brightness level only at this battery level.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the light will gradually recall the presetoutput level.

Low-voltage Warning

When the battery pack voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output, the battery icon in the OLED display flashes to remind you to replace or recharge the battery pack. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work till the battery level runs out completely.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, turn off the light to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Replace or recharge the battery pack.
B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

  • DO NOT place this flashlight in the reach of children!
  • Do NOT shine the flashlight directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • Do NOT place light head near flammable objects, high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and become flammable/ignite!
  • Do NOT use the flashlight in inappropriate ways, doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the flashlight or internal battery fails!
  • This flashlight will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay close attention to avoid burns.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, turn off the light to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; so the whole flashlight will need to be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its lifespan.

Absolute beast!

"Ridiculously powerful, with great combination of throw and flood. Bought this to light up the 400 foot waterfall in Tumbling Rock Cave, and while it was a bit heavy/bulky (taking up more room/weight in my pack than ideal) it was worth the extra weight/space. Previously I would bring 4 different lights to illuminate Topless Dome, but this bad boy stands alone and does not need help."

SAIER A. (5/5)

Great search light

"Flashlight is very bright and will reach long distances, cutting through the darkness. Durable and easy to adjust with the dial switch. Would recommend for any search or night operations."

Love it! It lights up

"Love it! It lights up my entire 2 1/2 acre pasture and the woods beyond! Great product!"

The Fenix LR60R is a

"The Fenix LR60R is a phenomenal search light. Due to its brightness and intensity, it of course requires a large, heavy battery, so it is not the flashlight you will be inclined to grab for routine daily use. When you do need a light to search great distance though, this light would be hard to beat. I also appreciate that it has a SOS setting which would be detectable for many miles. Overall, a great light designed for specialized use."

Search and Rescue Light

"We were impressed with the manufacturing and ergonomics of the Fenix LR60R. It will be a great resource in our response truck."

The Searchlight Reimagined – Fenix LR60R

"f you are looking for a flashlight that can essentially turn night into day, the Fenix LR60R is in a league of its own. I’ve used high-end searchlights before, but this is the first one that feels like a precision instrument rather than just a heavy brick of LEDs. What Makes It Elite: The Mechanical Rotary Switch: This is the star of the show. Instead of fumbling with tiny buttons or complex clicking sequences, you just twist the dial. It is tactile, intuitive, and works perfectly even with heavy winter gloves on. Insane Versatility: It’s not just about the 21,000 lumens. The ability to toggle between a massive floodlight (for area illumination) and a laser-focused spotlight (that reaches over 1,000 meters) makes it useful for everything from search and rescue to lighting up a whole campsite. OLED Smart Display: No more guessing games. The built-in screen shows your remaining runtime and battery percentage in real time. It’s a lifesaver when you're deep in the woods and need to manage your power. Build Quality: Fenix is known for being "over-built," and the LR60R is no exception. It’s IP68 rated (fully waterproof) and feels like it could survive a drop off a cliff. The "Pro" Features: The USB-C fast charging is remarkably quick for a battery pack this size, and the fact that it doubles as a high-speed power bank for your phone or GPS is a brilliant touch for emergency kits. Bottom Line: It is an investment, yes. But if you need reliable, massive output and a user interface that actually makes sense, the LR60R is the gold standard for handheld searchlights."

Outstanding for search and rescue

"Excellent SAR light. The light output is great for my need, which is searching for crew-overboard in the Pacific Ocean at night in rough water. The brightness is good enough that it will illuminate floating objects that are too small to identify due to distance away from me. Three points to remember: the rubber cap over the charge port is not very secure; the battery takes hours to recharge and most search efforts take longer than the battery will last during use; the light does not float so use the wrist strap."

James C. (5/5)

Fenix LR60R Review

"This is definitely a VERY powerful flashlight, with excellent (and instant) selection of light output… but with one serious flaw. First, the method of using a MANUAL rotary switch for output control is much appreciated. This is by far superior over the usual, one or two electronic button sequences that are most always different on each flashlight owned, and always takes time to figure out for each different light. So, the "flaw" is the handle. It is mounted backward, with the open end toward the FRONT, making it far too easy to drop if snagged on brush, debris, or when pointed upward during a search. The open end should always be at the rear, preventing the light from being pushed, or simply slide out of your grip, which happens all too easily on this forward open configuration. So, I will have to come up with some kind of retrofit closure, or lip at the front end of the handle so damage does not occur if dropped during aggressive use. Whoever thought this forward open handle position was an “improvement“, was a total non-user. Actually, Fenix should come out with a retrofit item that will prevent any potential damage that could occur to this costly flashlight…"

LR60R - Good Light - More Distance?

"I own several Fenix lights. Impressed with the quality. With regards to the LR60R, I really like the operational functions (dial for brightness, etc. ), I was hoping with 21000 lumens the spot reach would be further, but it appears that the max length of 1000 meters is the best that can be achieved by any flashlight. (Future distance would be cause for another purchase. . . )"
