Warning: *16340 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light head to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light head back on.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on white light mode for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 55°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55°C, it will then return to the standard output of white light mode.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower output. If the voltage is lower than 3.2V, the battery level indicator blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L16-700UP rechargeable 16340 Li-ion battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed part can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using only a high-quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, lock the light or remove the battery for proper storage.
  • If you shoot ammunition get the lens coated, try rubbing the lens with fine steel wool or Froglube clp.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Since gun maintenance requires the use of organic solvents, organic solvents contaminating key components of the light may cause malfunctions, and the light will not receive normal warranty service.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

  • Do place this light in the reach of children!
  • Do NOT shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • Do NOT shine flammable objects at close range, to avoid burning objects or causing danger due to high temperature!
  • Do NOT use the light in inappropriate ways such as biting in the mouth, to avoid personal injury or life threats when the light or internal battery fails!
  • This light will accumulate a lot of heat while working, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.
  • Turn off and lock the light or remove the battery from the light to prevent accidental activation when the light is placed in a closed and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks!

Fenix GL06/GL06-365 Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is the LED model used in GL06/GL06-365 and can Fenix help me to replace the LED?

A: It uses 1 CREE XPL HI LED with 50,000 hours of life; Fenix does not provide LED replacement service at the moment and does not recommend users to replace the LED by themselves, as it will affect the product performance and cause the risk of product damage.

Q2. What is the color temperature of GL06/GL06-365?

A: The product light source is white light, color temperature 5000K.

Q3. GL06/GL06-365 working voltage is how much?

A: The working voltage range: 3.0V ~ 4.2V.

Q4. GL06/GL06-365 can be charged? How long does it take to charge?

A: GL06 comes standard with 1 ARB-L16-700UP rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the body does not support direct charging, the power indicator will light up red when charging, full blue light.

Q5. How to install GL06?

Answer:

  1. Please make sure your pistol rail belongs to Picatinny rail or Glock universal rail and choose the appropriate rail piece (the default installation is Glock universal rail piece), you can make the tactical light more suitable for your weapon by replacing the rail piece.
  2. Please open the quick release wrench, align the convex groove of the rail piece with the groove of the gun rail, make sure the position is correct and close the locking plate.
  3. If it appears too tight or too loose, you can use the tool to adjust the slider on the other side of the tactical light.

Q6. My GL06/GL06-365 will automatically reduce the brightness after using for a while, why is that?

A: There are two possible cases of automatic downshifting of GL06/GL06-365:

  1. temperature control downshift: tactical lights for a long time to work in high brightness will accumulate a lot of heat, in order to avoid the shell temperature is too high to affect the use of comfort, when the circuit detects that the temperature exceeds 55 ℃, the flashlight will automatically and gradually reduce the brightness.
  2. When the lamp detects that the battery voltage is too low, it will gradually and automatically reduce the current working gear; if the lamp detects that the battery voltage is lower than 3.2V, the main lamp will flash 3 times at a frequency of 3 Hz every 2 minutes to remind the user to charge the battery or replace it in time.

Q7. My GL06/GL06-365 lights will flash abnormally when in use, why is this?

A: The following are a few possible reasons for the abnormal flickering or failure to light up the lamps:

Reason 1: the battery is low, the lamps will flash lights to remind

Solution: charge or replace the battery.

Reason 2: The conductive contact surface/contact point of the luminaire or battery is dirty

Solution: Clean the conductive contact surface or contact point with alcohol swab.

If the above methods are not effective, please contact your dealer and follow the after-sales service terms and conditions for warranty.

Q8.  What type of battery can be used for GL06/GL06-365?

A: It is recommended to use Fenix 16340 ARB-L16-700UP rechargeable lithium ion battery, which is compatible with CR123A battery for power supply. It is not recommended to use other lithium-ion batteries. The white light grade has certain requirements on the current voltage of the battery, and batteries with mismatched performance may cause the tactical light not to work properly.

Q9. My GL06 needs repair, what should I do?

A:

  1. 15-day replacement: Fenix will replace identical or equal products with documented manufacturing defects within 15 days of purchase.
  2. 2-year free repair: Fenix will repair a light free of charge within 2 years of purchase if problems develop with normal use.
  3. Lifetime maintenance: If repair is required after 2 years from the date of purchase, Fenix will charge for parts. The total repair fee is dictated by the cost of the replaced materials.
