General Mode
ON/OFF Press and hold the General switch for 0.5 seconds, the lamp will be activated at Low (no memory circuit), press and hold any switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off the lamp.
Output Selection
With the lamp switched on, single click the General switch to cycle through Eco→Low→Med→High.
Functional Mode
ON/OFF Press and hold the Functional switch for 0.5 seconds, the lamp will be activated at Reading mode (no memory circuit), press and hold any switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off the lamp.
Output Selection
With the lamp switched on, single click the Functional switch to cycle through Reading→SOS.
Spot- and Floodlight Adjustment
Rotate the focusing ring counterclockwise to spotlight and clockwise to floodlight.
Mode Switching
With the lamp on General mode, single click the Functional switch to enter Functional mode. With the lamp on Functional mode, single click the General switch to enter General mode.
Burst Mode
In any status, press and hold the General switch for 1.2 seconds to enter Burst mode. The lamp will exit Burst mode after 1 minute or by any other operation.
Overheat Protection
The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used on Burst mode for extended periods. To avoid high surface temperature it will automatically downshift to High output level to reduce temperature.
Lockout Function
Lock With the lamp turned off, press and hold any switch or simultaneously press the two switches for 3 seconds, the light will blink four times on Reading and then switch off to indicate locked status.
Unlock With the lamp locked, simultaneously press the two switches for 3 seconds. The lamp will be unlocked and activated on Reading.
Locked Status
In locked status, any operation will activate 4 blinks on Reading and then switch off to indicate locked status.
Power Supply
The built-in 2000mAh Li-polymer battery is irreplaceable, and Micro USB rechargeable. Note: Recharge a stored headlamp every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery in case the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
Charging
Operation
Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the Micro USB side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp.
Indication
One flashing: lower than 20%
One constant on, one flashing: 20% - 50%
Two constant on, one flashing: 50% - 80%
Three constant on, one flashing: 80% - 90%
Four constant on: fully charged
Note: When charging, the headlamp can only be used on Reading output.
Battery Level Indication
When the lamp is turned off, single click the Functional switch, the battery level indicators will display the battery status for 3 seconds.
4 constant-on blue: 80% - 100%
3 constant-on blue: 60% - 80%
2 constant-on blue: 40% - 60%
1 constant-on blue: 20% - 40%
1 flashes blue: lower than 20%
Headband Assembly
Notice: The headband is factory assembled by default.
Step 1: Attach the headband to the headlamp.
Step 2: Adjust the headband by sliding the buckle to required length.
Usage and Maintenance
Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the headlamp and will void the warranty. Fenix strongly recommends using the brightness reasonably so as to maintain enough and extended runtime. If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.
