Operating Instructions
On/off
Tap the tactical tail switch to turn on the light momentarily, release it and the light will go out.
Fully press the tactical tail switch to turn on the light constantly, and fully press it again to turn off the light.
Mode Switching
With the light turned on, press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to enter the Instant Turbo mode. Single click the side switch to return to the General mode.
Output Selection
General mode: With the light turned on, single click the side switch to cycle through Eco→Low→Med→High→Ultrahigh.
Lock/Unlock
Lock: With the light turned off, set the lock switch to to lock the light. With the light turned on, fully press the tactical tail switch to turn off the light. Set the lock switch to to lock the light.
Unlock: With the light locked, set the lock switch to to unlock the light.
Note: In locked status, clicking or pressing the tactical tail switch will not turn on the light. Please unlock it first.
Intelligent Memory Circuit
The flashlight automatically memorizes the last selected output excluding Turbo. When turned on again, the previously used output will be recalled.

Battery Replacement
Unscrew the light body and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light body back on.
Battery Level Indication
Each time the flashlight is turned on, the indicator will show the current battery level and will last for 3 seconds.
Green light on: saturated 100% - 85%
Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50%
Red light on: poor 50% - 25%
Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 Series battery.
Intelligent Overheat Protection
The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the flashlight reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C/140°F, the flashlight will gradually recall the preset output level.
Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind users to replace or recharge the battery in a timely manner.
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18 Series battery.
Usage and Maintenance
Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the flashlight and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the flashlight could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
Turn off and lock the flashlight or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
Periodic cleaning of the flashlight and battery contacts improves the flashlight's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons: A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge or replace the battery. B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

"The LD30 Renegade is my new EDC light. Instant on, compact, bright, and super easy to use. Just the features you really need. Operating the light is not a memory test with complicated button sequences and accidental mode activations that make you want to tear your hair out. Everything is straightforward. Instant turbo is a nice addition that works well. This is a great general purpose light with increased spill for close to medium range work with it’s hybrid TIR lens design. The raised side switch area helps in locating the (flat unfortunately) side switch in the dark. It also doubles as an anti roll feature if you remove the clip for holster use. The length and grippy knurling feels good in hand. I also like the positive mechanical lockout switch for toolbox/backpack/glovebox carry. You can easily confirm the lockout status visually. An all round great compact EDC light."

"Don't care for the tail switch. I like just a one switch operation. I know that's just my opinion as it does have a purpose for some people. I know the length measurement would be closer to my old e30r without the tail switch. I like the lighting perameter better than the old e30r , especially the low setting of 5m an high of 1000m and turbo if needed. My older e30r still works great with original battery after 10yrs. But I'm switched out to the ld 30 as my everyday carry to get use to it, keeping the older e30r as a backup. The ld 30 is another great Fenix light, of which I now have four Fenix lights."
