Product Overview

Still compact in size, the upgraded Fenix LD22 Flashlight offers new operational features and a higher output of 300 lumens while still using only two AA batteries. Four brightness levels plus Strobe and SOS will meet lighting demands for daily use as well as tactical applications. In Outdoor Mode, the LD22 Flashlight’s side switch controls all output modes and the tail switch simply turns the light on and off. The new Tactical Mode turns off the side switch and activates the turbo, strobe and mid modes through the tactical tail switch.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix strongly recommends using high-performance Ni-MH rechargeable batteries to get most out of this flashlight. Alkaline batteries will reduce the runtime significantly.
  • Fenix recommends using excellent quality battery. If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the flashlight could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Unscrew the tail cap one-half turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the flashlight flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
Reason A: The batteries need replacing.
Solution: Replace batteries (Please confirm the correct installation of anode and cathode).
Reason B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please refer to the warranty policy before contacting your authorized distributor. Notice: The routine cleaning video can be watched and downloaded through Fenix Official Website, please log onto the service channel->“maintenance for light”

Warning

The flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the light directly into anyone’s eyes.

Sturdy and Easy To Feed

Had one of the older models of this and this is definitely an improvement. The stainless bezel really helps it stay looking fresh, as the old one was just aluminum, so it would deform from hitting hard surfaces. It's also held up well to being washed and disinfected constantly, the button cap is still soft and pliable.
Mine lives in outdoor mode, but being able to ratchet up to the full output is nice.
Do miss the emitter up carry, I used to use the old one in a pocket like that on so wouldn't have to stop and get a headlamp, but it clips to a shirt collar easily. Holds well in pocket as well.
I also really enjoy how large the rear button is, easy to depress with thumb but unlikely to be accidentally turned on. Side button is in just the right place too.

Excellent 2xAA light

Great 2xAA flashlight
Even though I have much more powerful lithium battery Fenix lights these 2xAA models have their own charm.
I had a perfect specimen with a beautiful tint.
The light beam is good, nothing to say, another Fenix hit.

Put in a review on May 25 explaining that the unit has a greenish hue on all level but Turbo but received no response from Fenix. Now too late to return/exchange. Sits idly by as I use the 2015 model as my EDC because the 2015 has consistent 5000-6000 kelvin white light output at all intensities. This unit sadly does not.

Hi Michael - we don't know from a review that a customer wants to return a light. We do have all information available on our website for our customers to contact either customer service or warranty to return an item.
