Magnetic Absorption Charging

Connect the USB AM port of the charging cable to the power source, then hold the magnetic end of the charging cable close to the flashlight. The charging cable will attach to the charging port automatically and charging will begin. Max charging current is 1.35A. Note: 1. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimal battery performance. 2. The flashlight can be used while the light is being charged, but charging time will be prolonged.

With the light switched off, single click the switch to check the battery status. The battery level indicator will display the battery status for 3 seconds.

  • Red constant on: poor (50% - 26%)
  • Red flashes: critical (25% - 1%)

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind you to recharge the battery. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work till the battery level runs out. Note: This only works with Fenix 18650 Li-ion battery.

Intelligent Downshift

Time-limited Downshift The light will downshift to 900 lumens within 30 seconds when it has been used on Turbo for 1 minute.

Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on Turbo or High output level for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 65℃ or above, the light will automatically step down by 5% every 10 seconds to reduce the temperature, and until to 350 lumens. When the temperature is reduced below 65℃, Turbo mode can be reselected; or only 900 lumens can be reached.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
  • Lock the light or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation. Recharge a stored battery every four months to maintain optimal battery performance.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp's performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: The battery needs replacing.
Solution: Replace battery (Ensure battery is inserted according to the manufacturer’s specifications).
B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

This flashlight is a high-intensity lighting device capable of causing eye damage to the user or others. Avoid shining the flashlight directly into anyone’s eyes.

Wow

Lost this thing months ago, must have fallen out of my pocket while I was cutting the grass, I was picking up sticks in the yard yesterday and found it outside pressed into the mud so I wasn’t very hopeful, went inside and cleaned the outside down with alcohol wipes and let it dry before removing the battery and doing the same to the threads washer and sides of the installed battery, after re assembling everything there was no light but I figured the battery could be toast too so I tried an extra I had, my jaw hit the floor when this thing worked perfectly fine after months of heavy rain and seasonal heat changes, this light may no longer be available but it is definitely a testament to their quality

Great to hear it just needed a fresh battery! Did the other battery end up working after charging it? We once had a guy lose a light on a hike - had it clipped to his pack and he guessed he snagged it on a tree. He said he hiked the same trail frequently and was always on the look out for the flashlight. Eventually his brother spotted it. He did the same thing - cleaned it up, fresh battery, and it worked. It had been out on this trail for almost 4 years! He said battery still worked after he charged it up too!

Just the right size

I've carried the E30R light for a few years now
It's the perfect size for clipped in the pocket carry.
The lumens are great for its size ( it seems most lights this size emit much less )
Don't know how this light could be made any better

Three years of quality light

I’ve had my E30R for three years now and it’s still almost brand new and keeps a great charge. This has been a little work horse for me always in my pocket and always there when I need it. Through hot summer nights to frozen winter nights it’s never failed me once. I really don’t know why I bought the spare battery because I’ve never had a night that I ran out of juice before my job was done. I’ve dropped it on concrete, asphalt and even dropped in the lake at the boat landing and it’s never failed me and doesn’t even have a scratch from the fall's. Plenty of power and a compact size. You can’t get a better light for the money as far as I’m concerned.

Worked pretty well for a bit. Would still turn on in my pouch. I would turn the clip to cover the button to keep it from accidentally turning on. After around 15 months of use, it crapped out. Light stays on and doesn't turn off.

Have you contacted our warranty department to let them know it's not working correctly?

E30R: Compact powerhouse

Very compact. Magnetic charging cord. 5 brightness settings and usually the 1s mt two are all that’s needed. Highest setting is extreme with cery long reach. Great product and Fenix delivery was on time.

I also ordered a second charge cable to keep in my car.
