* It is prohibited to use 18650, 16340 and CR123A batteries.

* 21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion; but cell damage or short circuiting are potential risks the user assumes.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light tail and insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the light tail back on.

Charging

  1. First switch off the light and plug the USB A socket of the magnetic charging cable into an electrical outlet, then connect the charging port of the flashlight to the magnetic charging port in the cradle.
  2. The indicator in the neck of the flashlight will display red while charging, and will turn green when fully charged.

Note:

  1. The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 rechargeable Li-ion battery is approximately 3 hours from depletion to full charging when the charging input is 5V/3A and above.
  2. Recharge a stored light every four months to maintain optimum performance of the battery.
  3. The light is unavailable while charging.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on, the indicator in the neck of the flashlight will indicate the battery level and will last for 3 seconds.

Green light on: saturated 100% - 85%

Green light flashes: sufficient 85% - 50%

Red light on: poor 50% - 25%

Red light flashes: critical 25% - 1%

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on High or Turbo modes for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user the reselection of High or Turbo modes.

Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the battery level indicator constantly blinks red to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

Note: This only works with Fenix ARB-L21 series 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery.

Usage and Maintenance

  • Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
  • Fenix recommends using only a high-quality protected battery.
  • If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery for proper storage.
  • Unscrew the tail cap or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
  • Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
  • Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
    A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Warning

  • Do place this light out of the reach of children!
  • Do NOT shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • Do NOT shine flammable objects at close range, to avoid burning objects or causing danger due to high temperature!
  • Do NOT use the light in inappropriate ways such as biting in the mouth, to avoid personal injury or life threats when the light or internal battery fails!
  • This light will accumulate a lot of heat while working, resulting in a high temperature of the flashlight shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.
  • Turn off and lock the light or remove the battery from the light to prevent accidental activation when the light is placed in a closed and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks!
  • The LED of this flashlight is not replaceable; so the whole light should be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its life.

FAQs About Fenix WF26R Flashlight

Q1. What kind of LED is used in WF26R? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A: Fitted with a Luminus SST-70X-W LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Fenix does not provide LED replacement services for the time being, and users are not recommended to replace the LEDs independently, which may affect product performance and cause product damage.

Q2. What is the white light color temperature of WF26R?

A: Around 6500K.

Q3. What is the working voltage of WF26R?

A: Working voltage: 3.0V to 4.2V, and the limit working voltage range is 2.8V to 5.5V.

Q4. Is WF26R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes, WF26R is rechargeable with the magnetic charging cable and with the charging cradle as well.

The normal charging time is approximately 3 hours from depletion to full charging.

Q5. Why is there only a 6-minute difference between the runtime of Turbo and High mode?

A: The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used on 3000-lumen Turbo mode for extended periods. When the temperature reaches a certain level, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature, which results in the accumulated runtime of Turbo not much different from High mode (For specific runtime performance, please refer to the runtime graph in the user manual).

Q6. How to prevent accidentally activating the WF26R?

A: Unscrew the light tail, or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.

Q7. Why does the WF26R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the battery level indicator constantly blinks red to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

Q8. Why does the battery level indicator blink during usage?

A: It indicates a poor battery level. When the minimum voltage is less than 3.0V (or 2.8 to 3.2V) with the brightness downshifting to 30 lumens, the battery level indicator will remind by blinking red with a frequency of 3Hz, until the battery power runs out.

Q9. What kind of battery can be used in WF26R?

A: It is recommended to use the Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery. The battery is replaceable.

Q10. Can the charging cradle be used with the RC20?

A: No, the RC20 and the WF26R use different charging methods and the cradles are not interchangeable.

Q11.  Does the WF26R include the wall brick/charger for charging?

A: No, while our rechargeable lights include the necessary charging cords, the wall charger for the USB connection is not included with the product, as the majority of customers already own several chargers.  The WF26R requires a 3 amp wall charger.

Great BIrthday Gift

I bought this for our son for his birthday. According to him, it is the greatest flashlight he's ever owned. He especially loves that you engraved his name on it. He's a tow truck driver and it is super bright at night. It has really helped when needed. His co-workers are all jealous.
