I've used this light for almost two years as a Search & Rescue Tech. At 200 lumens, the medium setting, this light gives me more output for nearly 14 hours of use (I use two 3400mah batteries) than most of my colleagues headlamps do on "high" for an hour with their lesser quality light.
Consistent, bright lighting is critical to our mission; looking for a missing person at night in bad weather demands we find them as fast as possible. There's no time to be swapping out batteries every hour or so to maintain your ability to search.
This light is close to perfect; bright, white light, greay spill beam pattern, all metal housing, angle adjustable lamp head.
What could be improved? I would REALLY like to have the option at time to switch to a tight focus, spot beam, and the power cable from the battery pack. PLEASE, Fenix; either replace this stiff heavy guage wire, with either a coil cord or use easy flex "spagetti wire" from the R/C world. Just as thick to handle higher output loads, but MUCH more flexible. Otherwise, it's a perfect light!
